Our campaign is built on the importance of

Both Ayla and Madeline have extensive experience in student government and have gained the skills they need to effectively lead the Freshman Caucus. Ayla was an active member of her student council throughout middle school at East Side Middle School. At Stuyvesant, Ayla is a Budget Analyst for the Stuyvesant Student Union. Ayla is a member of the rowing team, as well. For the past few years, Madeline has held her position as Co-President of the student union at her ballet academy. She is now an involved member of the Stuyvesant community, as a writer for the Spectator, and a member of the pre-med club, Research club, and Pstuychology. Ayla and Madeline are confident that their experiences will allow them to reach their goals as Co-Presidents of the Freshman Caucus.

As Co-Presidents of the Freshman Caucus, we will prioritize being accessible to students through our “Open Communication” policy as on our policies document as linked above. This policy prioritizes direct communication between our cabinet and the student body. This will be achieved through bi-weekly email announcements. Our cabinet will host weekly Zoom calls in the cabinet, to be live streamed to Freshmen and, once a month, an interactive Q&A Zoom with students. Additionally, we will have an open google form for students to voice their comments and concerns. Students are also encouraged to email us directly with any pressing matters.

As students with extracurricular passions and busy schedules, we understand the challenges of time management and managing stress. We feel that over time, we have learned a lot about how to organize ourselves and work most efficiently. With this in mind, we have developed a series of policies that focus on these very issues and represent the needs of the entire student class. We can identify with the concerns of the freshman class and will constantly strive to address those issues with the administration. This is why will vow to consider the needs of every student and to equally respect each concern.
